I would like to hear from you

Although I have mentioned this already in the About section of this blog, and often mention it in the posts, I wanted to say it again here, about hearing from those who are regularly visiting Mono-log. I really get a great deal of joy knowing someone else might be inspired by my uploads, but more than that it would be great to involve you in ‘what’ I create. So do get in touch.

For the most part it is a joy to work on sounds in the Nord Modular, but I also get many days where things just seem hard work, either with finding an enthusiasm, an idea or that spark that results in a good upload and post.

Although I will do my best to create the best sounds I can in what time will allow, your support however small, all helps to make it happen. So please if your thinking about getting in touch, do it, I would love to hear from you.

Can I have your patches?

I have been asked on occasion whether or not I can provide the patches for the sounds I upload? And although I am not entirely against sharing my patches, quite the opposite actually, there is however a way I would prefer this was done, being on a more one to one basis as apposed to having them easily downloadable on the web for anyone and everyone.

For me it is really important to interact with the people that are interested and follow my uploads, and to partly understand and contribute to a community of like minded people. Part of this happens at the blog, through reading about why it is here, what is its purpose, how to contact me, etc. My concern is, through having freely downloadable patches, the sounds I have created are then available in the studio’s and hardware of people I may never have the pleasure to meet, speak to or know of their location in this vast world, and entirely separated from this blog.

However, as I say, I am not completely shut off to the idea of sharing my patches and so therefore suggest if you would like to ask me for a patch, or have a suggestion, project or collaboration idea involving the patches, then please feel free to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or through facebook, as I would love to hear from you.

Thanks

I want to thank everyone who has been enjoying the uploads and have been very supportive of this blog so far, there are too may to mention, but you know who you are. All your support means a great deal.

I do want to specifically thank a few people.

Firstly thank you to my brother Paul, whom I think has listened to pretty much every track/sound I have uploaded, even those from the archives that came before this blog. Amazing.

Thanks to Jonny Hill, whose amazing music and ongoing support is always very much appreciated…man love.

Thanks to Adam Baker, firstly for not throwing me to the wolves after leaving Dirty Demos, (it’s better without me :), but for also always being a mind and humor I can rely on and whose music is always a joy.

Thanks to Mike Oliver, whose influence, mind, and determination is a true inspiration…we have to catch up soon.

A special thanks to Marcus Fischer and Taylor Deupree, whose music, influence and daily uploads have been a major contributing reason for this blogs existence.

An additional thanks to all the those at the 12k Forum for their support and to Taylor for plugging this blog, it means a great deal.

Lastly, where would I be now without my partner Lucia…simply, thank you for everything x
